Refractive Disorders
Some refractive disorders can affect the way normal eyes are fonctionning. Here are some of these disorders :

The ability to see is an amazing process made possible due to the interaction of many parts of the eye. Light entering the eye is first bent or refracted by the cornea (the window of the eye) through the pupil (the opening in the iris). Light then travels to the lens (located behind the pupil). This completes refraction by focusing the light onto the retina. At this point, the retina translates the light into electric impulses that are carried by the optic nerve to the brain, where the image is interpreted.
